Aerospoke Corporation warrants its wheels
against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the
date of purchase. This is a limited warranty which requires proof of
purchase. All warranty claims must be made directly to Aerospoke
Corporation. Please do not take your wheel back to the dealer. Should you
need warranty work or service of any kind, contact Aerospoke for a return
authorization number (RA#). This number must be clearly marked on the
outside of the packaging. In addition, please include all contact
information along with any additional correspondence. Items shipped to
Aerospoke without a RA# may not be accepted.
Aerospoke's warranty does NOT cover normal
wear and tear, improper assembly, DAMAGE DUE TO IMPACT OR BENDING, use for
purpose or application other than specifically designed for, or for
accessories not originally intended or compatible with the wheel or
wheels. Aerospoke reserves sole right to make warranty determinations and
is not responsible for inbound shipping charges or damage during
shipping.

The aluminum rims on your Aerospoke composite
wheel are an integral part of the wheel and cannot be replaced. Hubs can
be serviced and replaced separately providing there are no incompatibility
issues, and parts are available for your specific wheel or hub. Older
wheels and hubs may require parts that are no longer
manufactured.
You may trade in your Aerospoke wheel, damaged
or not, for a new one at any time for $200.00 per wheel plus
shipping/handling. This is NOT a prepaid insurance policy. Payment is to
be made at time of trade-in, and requires receipt of old wheel first.
Certain restrictions and upgrade charges may apply. Pricing is subject to
increases. Call Aerospoke for details.

Each Aerospoke is individually tested to
assure that it is within our strict .020" runout tolerance, laterally and
radially. The wheels should remain true with normal use and circumstances.
Do not put your Aerospoke composite wheel under stress for a prolonged
period of time. An example of this would be putting your wheel in your
trunk (especially in hot weather) and putting a heavy object on top of it
causing it to remain in the flexed state for an extended period of time.
This can cause warpage of the wheel.
Be sure to periodically inspect the wheel for
damage. Keeps the endcaps of the hubs tightened firmly with two 5mm hex
wrenches.

The wheel body is made of a one-piece
injection-molded carbon composite. The outside rim is made of aluminum and
the hubs are made of aluminum and steel.

Aerospoke wheels are made in Milford, Michigan
USA. Everything is made
in-house except the decals, paint, bearings and the aluminum rim
extrusion, which we get from Velocity. 2009 marked our 20th year of
manufacturing the Aerospoke wheel.

Our wheels are not just for the flyweights. We have
many Clydesdales and Athenas that come to us for the added durability and rugged construction that
Aerospoke has come to be known for.

The arrow (if present) indicates the direction of the
rotation of the wheel. The spokes on your wheel are airfoil- shaped and,
for optimum performance, should only be used with the leading edge of the
spoke (larger edge) in the forward position. Other markings on the spoke
are part of our manufacturing
codes.

The rims are an integral part of the wheel and
cannot be replaced. We can, however, off you a replacement wheel for a low
cost with your trade-in should your wheel become damaged from an accident,
etc. Give us a call to arrange this.

Aerospoke wheels are hand-made using only the
finest materials. The processes that we use to manufacture the wheels are
very labor-intensive and time-consuming. We do our best to provide
customers with product in a timely manner, but we are sometimes unable to
keep up with demand.
|
| 13. |
While our wheels will weigh more than some, it
is important to remember that they have many other features that add to
the value of the wheels; durability, low-maintenance, efficient energy
transfer, low rolling resistance and aerodynamics. We also offer an
endless variety of custom colors and graphics to allow you to uniquely
accessorize your bike.

We currently offer a 700c, 26" mountain, and a
20" wheel.
|
| 15. |
Sorry, but all of our wheels are for clincher
only.
|
| 16. |
Our natural color is standard. This is a dark
charcoal-like color with the swirls of the carbon fiber evident. A
silicone-based coating is applied to the wheel as a protectant.
|
| 17. |
We can paint the wheels in just about any color.
Some of our more popular colors are displayed on the website, as well as
some of the custom graphics that can be done.
|
| 18. |
The paint finish is very high quality, while
still providing a good value. Your painted wheel will look very nice, but
it will not look like the finish on a brand new car. This kind of finish
would cost anywhere from $150.00 to $250.00 per wheel at your local body
shop. Painting the wheels is very expensive, time consuming and the cost
of the materials is high. We strive to provide the customer a good mix of
value and aesthetics.
|
| 19. |
The wheels are prepped, primed and then painted
with automotive grade paint. A clear coat is then applied. The finish is
pretty durable, but is subject to chips, etc. like any other
paint.
|
| 20. |
No. We do not refinish the wheels. The wheels
that are sent out as natural color have a protectant applied that seeps
into the pores of the wheels making it very hard to get paint to stick
afterward.
|
| 21. |
The natural wheels will all have a braking
surface. Any of the painted or graphics wheels can be ordered with the
braking surface exposed, or with it coated if rim brakes are not used.
|
| 22. |
No, powdercoating involves heat which can
destroy the wheel.
|
| 23. |
Yes, we can do wheels that are disc brake compatible in
the 6-bolt international standard system only. If you have an older wheel
that you want to upgrade to disc brake contact us with your serial number
and we can let you know if this is possible and costs
involved.
|
| 24. |
We currently offer wheels for tandems in only
the 26" mountain and 20” sizes. The wheels are not recommended for
triplets use.
|
| 25. |
We are currently in the process of developing a
wheel for trikes. Please check the website frequently for updates on this
project.
|
| 26. |
While we prefer that you visit one of our
dealers, we understand that not everyone has access, so we do have an
online store that enables customers to order products
directly.
|
| 27. |
Wheels made after mid-2002 can get any of our
latest generation of hubs, including the track hubs. The rear track hubs,
rear disc brake compatible hubs, and any of the rear tandem hubs must be
epoxy-set into the wheel at the factory. Customers, who have a wheel that
qualifies, must send the wheel back to us to have us do the installation.
|
| 28. |
Send us an email with the serial number from the
rim and we can provide you with that
information.
|
| 29. |
No, only our hubs can be used for our wheels and
we have no options for this type of hub.
|
| 30. |
This depends on the type and age of the hub. All front
hubs can be removed, as well as the regular cassette hubs. As of 2007, all
rear track hubs, rear disc brake compatible hubs, and all rear tandem hubs
are epoxy-set into the wheel at the factory and must not be
removed.

This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Please contact us via email with the specifics. Include what you are
seeking, when you need it, etc. The more details that you provide, the
better we can evaluate the possibility of a sponsorship. Please note that
we get a very large amount of this type of request. While we would love to
be able to help everyone, we simply cannot do so.
